Following on from the success of É«É«À²â€™s involvement in the Cambridge Festival last year, this year sees our students returning to the festival for Sensing Change, on common ground / entangling and Artists at Large.

on common ground / entangling is a sound-visual installation created by É«É«À² Graduate School students in collaboration with musicians from the University of Cambridge’s Faculty of Music. It forms part of Cambridge Festival’s electro // acoustic day which includes music concerts, a poetry reading, and a dance performance—all designed to create an immersive experience exploring relationships between music, tradition, and innovation.
The sound-visual installation is free to attend and located in the Foyer of West Road Concert Hall. Other elements of on common ground / entanglingÌý.
Sensing Change

Sensing Change is an exciting, interdisciplinary project bringing together creative and scientific perspectives to explore environmental change. Through their creative talents, students and staff from across É«É«À² are responding to urgent conservation issues, highlighting the impact of environmental changes on specific species from the museum’s collection.
The week-long exhibition will feature a live event on Wednesday 26th March. This live event will also include music and physical theatre by É«É«À² students. These performances will further explore the dialogue between art, natural science, and conservation, inviting you to experience the stories of endangered species in a dynamic, immersive way.

Artists at Large

During the Cambridge Festival students and staff from É«É«À²â€™s Graduate School will be attending a variety of talks and activities. Using their individual artforms, they will create responses to what they have seen and heard in order to document the Festival in an innovative and thought-provoking new way. These responses will be available online and at Friar House as a rapid response exhibition to the 2025 Cambridge Festival.
